National Innovation Agenda and Strategy aprubado na ni Pangulong Marcos
Inaprubahan na ng National Innovation Council (NIC) na pinamumunuan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang National Innovation Agenda and Strategy Document 2023-2032.
Ilalatag ng plano kung paano mapalalakas pa ang innovation governance ng pamahalaan at pagtatatag ng dynamic innovation ecosystem.
Sa ikalimang NIC meeting, inilatag din ni National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Undersecretary for Policy and Planning, Rosemarie Edillon ang rationale at features ng NIASD.
Ayon kay Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, Vice Chair ng NIC, ang pagtatatag ng dynamic innovation ecosystem ay isa sa anim na cross-cutting strategies ng transformation agenda sa Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028 para magkaroon ng prosperous, inclusive, at resilient na sosyodad.
“Chapter 8 of the PDP elaborates on this strategy by situating it within the continuum of research and development, innovation, technology adoption, then commercialization” pahayag ni Balisacan.
Ang NIC ay 25-member policy advisory body na binubuo ng 16 Department Secretaries at pitong Executive Members mula sa pribadong sektor.
