PRC: Unahin ang 47,000 nursing board passers para sa 4,500 bakante sa DOH hospitals

Hinikayat ng Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ang gobyerno na kumuha sa 47,000 nursing board passers para mapunan ang 4,500 bakante sa mga pampublikong ospital sa bansa.

Sinabi ni PRC Comm. Jose Cueto Jr., na may inisyatiba na ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) gayundin ang kanilang ahensiya para mabigyan ng trabaho ang 47,000 licensed nurses, na pumasa na sa board noong 2021 – 2023.

“We have to know where they are, how can they be contacted, where they are needed, meaning what regions and what provinces, or cities, or municipalities are they needed now so that we can have a strategy of mainly focusing more on those who passed because we have more than enough,” ani Cueto sa isang panayam sa telebisyon.

Una nang inanusiyo ni Health Sec. Ted Herbosa ang plano na bigyan ng trabaho sa mga pampublikong ospital ang mga nursing graduates na nakakuha ng 70% – 74% grades sa nursing board exams.

Bibigyan aniya ang mga ito ng temporary licenses.

Ngunit, sinabi nu Cueto na wala silang kapangyarihan na magbigay ng temporary licenses base sa RA 9173 o ang Philippine Nursing Act.
