Maharlika Investment Fund bill lalagdaan ni Pangulong Marcos

Agad na lalagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Maharlika Investment Fund. Gagawin ito ng Pangulo oras na nakarating na sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang panukalang batas. “I will sign it as soon as I get it,” pahayag ng Pangulo. “Am I happy, well that is the version the House and the Senate has passed and we will certainly look into all of the changes that have been made. I think most of the changes that were proposed and that were eventually adopted really had to do with the safety and the security of people’s pension funds, dun nag-alala ang tao, ” sabi ni Pangulong Marcos. Sabi ng Pangulo, ang maayos na pamamahala ang sekreto para matagumpay ang ano mang uri ng investment fund. “Perhaps we are looking in the wrong direction, the key to the success of any fund, hedge fund, pension fund, sovereign fund, investment fund is the management,” pahayag ng Pangulo. “Of course all of these things can happen, we’ve seen them happen before because the management chose for it to happen. Itong mga eskandalo na nakikita natin sa ibang lugar,” pahayag ng Pangulo. Pero may mga investment fund naman aniya na nagtagumpay dahil sa maayos na pamamahala. ” One of the first changes that I even proposed to the House was to remove the President as part of the Board, to remove the Central Bank chairman, to remove the Department of Dinance because it has to operate as an independend fund, well managed professionally. Iyan ang susi dyan. Kung korap ang ilagay mo dyan, korap talaga yan, mawawala ‘yung pera. Kung mahusay ang ilalagay mo diyan lalaki at lalaki iyan at magagamit natin ang pondo na iyan, ” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos. Sabi ng Pangulo, mayroon namang magagaling na financial managers ang Pilipinas. “Certainly, sometimes I have been watching the discussions that have been going on the Maharlika fund, that’s all true, you must worry about that. But the only way that the fund doesn’t get into trouble, is that it is well and professionally managed. and so one of the elements that make that happen is that there is very clear independence from the day-to-day government function. Those decisions are not made by political decisions in government, the decisions made for the fund are made by finance professionals, ” pahayag ng Pangulo.
