PNP, Lazada nagkasundo laban sa ilegal na pagbebenta ng police uniforms
Pumirma sa memorandun of agreement (MOA) ang pambansang pulisya at Lazada para mapigilan ang ilegal na bentahan ng mga police uniforms at insignias.
Sa kasunduan, sisiguraduhin ng Lazada na walang police uniforms at insignias na iaalok sa sa popular na online shopping site para matuldukan na ang pananamantala ng mga kriminal.
“At the heart of this agreement is our shared determination to combat the proliferation of unauthorized selling of counterfeit and substandard pnp uniforms, insignias, and accoutrements,” ani PNP Chief Benjamin Acorda Jr.
Dagdag pa niya: “We all understand the grave consequences that arise from the unauthorized manufacture, sale, and distribution of official pnp items. Not only does it compromise the integrity of our organization, but it also poses a serious threat to public safety and security.”
Base sa Executive Order 297, bawal na gamitin ang mga police uniforms at insignias ng mga hindi opisyal o tauhan ng pambansang-pulisya.
“It is our responsibility to uphold this order and ensure that our uniforms and accoutrements retain their rightful exclusivity,” dagdag pa ng hepe ng pambansang pulisya.
Diin niya napakahalaga na nakipagkasundo sa kanila ang Lazada, na isa mga pinaka-popular na online shopping site sa Timog Asya.
