P2-M pabuya para maaresto si dating BuCor Chief Bantag
Nag-alok ang Department of Justice (DOJ) ng P2-milyong pabuya para sa anumang impormasyon na magresresulta sa pag-aresto kay dating Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Bantag.
Nahaharap si Bantag ng two counts of murder kaugnay sa pagpatay kay radio broadcaster Percival “Percy Lapid” Mabasa at sa itinuturing na middleman na Cristito Villamor Palana, isang bilanggo sa New Bilibid Prison sa Muntinlupa City.
Nagpalabas na ang Las Pinas City regional trial court (RTC) ng arrest warrant laban kay Bantag dahil sa pagpatay kay Lapid, samantalang may hiwalay na arrest warrant din na isyu ang Muntinlupa City RTC para naman sa pagkapatay kay Palana.
Naideklara na si Bantag na “fugitive from justice”
Hiwalay na P1-milyon pabuya naman para sa pag-aresto kay dating BuCor security officer Ricardo Zulueta, na hindi pa rin natatagpuan hanggang sa kasalukuyan.
“Magbibigay na tayo ng reward para mapabilis at matuloy na ang paglilitis kasi hindi matutuloy ang paglilitis kung wala ‘yung akusado (We will offer the reward so that the trial will proceed because it couldn’t push through without the accused),” ani Justice Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla.
