Simula sa Agosto 2, magpapatupad na ng taas singil sa pasahe ang Light rail Transit.
Ayon sa pahayag ng Department of Transportation, panahon na para mag-umento sa pasahe dahil unti-unti nang nakarerekober ang ekonomiya.
Ipatutupad ang umento sa pasahe isang buwan o 30 araw matapos mai-publish sa general circulation ang panibagong rates saa pasahe.
Ayon kay DOTr Assistant Secretary for Railways Jorjette Aquino, inaprubahan ng Rail Regulatory Unit ng DOTr ang umento sa pasahe sa LRT Line 1 at 2 mula sa P11 sa P13.29 ang minimum fare at mula P1.00 sa P1.21 kada kilometer rate.
Taong 2015 pa huling nagpatupadd ng umento sa pasahe ang LRT 2.
