Itinakda sa darating na Hunyo 21 ang pagdinig ng Senate Committee on Tourism at Committee on Public Services sa mga reklamo sa operasyon ng budget carrier Cebu Pacific.
Ikakasa ang pagdinig base sa inihaing resolusyon ni Sen. Nancy Binay, ang namumuno sa Senate Tourism Committee, base sa mga reklamo ng overbooking, offloading at iba pang aberya.
“There were complaints that travelers were offloaded by Cebu Pacific without any verifiable cause or reason due to the airline’s overbooking,” banggit ni Binay sa inihain niyang Senate Resolution No. 575.
Samantala, sa inilabas na pahayag ng Cebu Pacific, sinabing magandang pagkakataon para sa kanila ang ipinatawag na pagdinig ni Binay dahil mabibigyan sila ng pagkakataon na linawin ang mga isyu.
“This should provide the airline the venue to put into perspective certain reports relating to passenger experience and the measures that we’ve put in place in support of our passengers,” ang pahayag ng Cebu Pacific.
Dagdag pa: ” As the airline industry recovers and grows its operations, we aim to work closely with our lawmakers so that the industry can contribute its share to the overall effort in accelerating tourism and economic growth.
