Kinilala ang mga nasawi na si Pat. Saipoden Shiek Macacuna at Pat. Bryan Polayagan, kapwa nakatalaga saProvincial Mobile Force Company ng Maguindanao Police Provincial Office.
Samantala, ang mga sugatang pulis naman ay sina Chief Master Sgt. Vincent Gertos, Staff Sgt. Benjie delos Reyes, Pat. Arjie Val Louie Pabinguit at Pat. Abdulgafor Alib.
Sinabi ni PNP Chief Benjamin Acorda Jr., nagpapatrulya ang mga biktima sa Barangay Poblacion alas-8:30 nang sila ay tambangan.
Aniya agad niyang ipinag-utos ang agresibong pagtugis sa mga salarin, na hinihinalang mga lokal na terorista.
