Sen. Cynthia Villar nangako na tutuparin mga pangako sa sektor ng agrikultura
Tiniyak ni Senator Cynthia Villar na tutuparin niya ang kanyang mga ipinangako na iaangat ang pamumuhay ng mga magsasaka sa bansa.
Sinabi nito na isusulong niya ang mga panukala na tutugon sa pangangailangan sa sektor ng agrikultura at seguridad sa pagkain sa bansa.
Pagbabahagi niya, isinusulong niya ngayon “Livestock, Poultry and Dairy Development and Competitiveness Act of 2022,” na aniya ay napakahalaga sa sektor.
“To provide additional support to the livestock, poultry and dairy industry, I am also prioritizing the passage of the Yellow Corn Industry Development Act of 2022,” dagdag pa ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Agriculture.
Nabahagi pa nito ang panukala para malabanan ng husto ang pagpupuslit ng mga imported agricultural products sa Pilipinas.
“The amendment of Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act of 2016 to include the acts of hoarding, profiteering and cartel of agricultural products as economic sabotage, and the establishment of Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Courts to try cases involving smuggling, hoarding, profiteering and cartel of agricultural products and to ensure that individuals and organizations involved in these activities are held accountable for their actions,” aniya.
