Nagpalabas ng kanya-kanyang mensahe ng pakikipagdalamhati ang ilang senador sa pagpanaw ni dating Senator Rodolfo “Pong” Biazon.

“This is a bittersweet Independence Day, as the nation mourns the passing of Senator Rodolfo Biazon, one of our staunchest defenders of the peace and democracy that we are enjoying today,” ani Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri.

“A true patriot, Sen. Pong always answered the call of duty even when he was no longer in office. When the former administration could not express a clear stance vis-a-vis China’s incursions in the West Philippine Sea, Sen. Pong did not hold back from calling on our top officials to take a united position against China,” ani naman ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros.

“Ang kanyang prinsipyo, bilang sundalo at bilang mambabatas, ay isa sa mga hindi natin malilimot sa makulay na buhay ni Senador Biazon. Ang kanyang bahagi sa ating kasaysayan ay minsan na pong napag-usapang buksan sa pinilakang tabing na gagampanan at isasabuhay ng inyong lingkod. Mula noon hanggang ngayon — ito po ay aking isasapuso bilang napakalaking karangalan,” sabi ni Sen. Robinhood Padilla.

“My sincerest condolences and prayers to the family and loved ones of Senator Rodolfo ‘Pong’ Biazon, a former colleague in the Senate and a fellow worker in government who served his country impeccably,” ang mensahe naman ni Sen. Francis Escudero.

Sabi naman ni Sen. Jinggoy Estrada: “We witnessed firsthand his unparalleled passion for public service and unwavering advocacy for low-cost housing and increased benefits for our soldiers. His wisdom, experience, and exemplary work ethic were always evident, making him an invaluable asset to our institution and a true inspiration to us all.”

“As a soldier and a lawmaker, he staunchly defended democracy and made sure that our country’s sovereignty is always protected.  Our nation lost an officer and a true gentleman who dedicated his life to public service,” ayon kay Sen. Nancy Binay.

“We lost an exemplary soldier and solon.  His valuable work in fortifying the military institution and in lawmaking will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in these trying times,” ani Sen. Grace Poe.
