Pumanaw na si dating Senador Rodlolfo Biazon sa edad na 88.
Base sa Twitter post ng kanyang anak na si Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon, 8:30 ngayong umaga, Hunyo 12 nang pumanaw ang dating senador.
“It is perfectly fitting that today, Independence Day, at around 8:30 am, the soldier who dedicated his life and laid it on the line in defending freedom and democracy, has been set free from the pains of this world,” pahayag ni Mayor Biazon.
Ayon kay Mayor Biazon, tinamaan ng lung cancer ang kanyang ama noong Hulyo 2022 at sumailalim sa treatment.
Pero dalawang beses na tinamaan ang dating senador ng pneumonia ngayong taon.
“He courageously fought his last battle like a Marine would, but it is the Lord’s will which prevails,” pahayag ni Mayor Biazon.
“The family is grateful that we were able to spend his last moments with us intimately and peacefully,” pahayag ni Mayor Biazon.
Si Biazon ay nagtapos ng pag-aaral sa Philippine Military Academy, naging sundalo bago nahalal na senador noong 1992.
“We send off a warrior and gentleman, secure in the knowledge that the faithful servant has fought the good fight and has finished the race,” pahayag ni Mayor Biazon.
Wala pa namang inilalabas na detalye ang pamilya Biazon kung saan ibuburol ang mga labi ng dating senador.
