Sen. JV Ejercito kinuwestiyon ang pagbabayad ng LTO sa IT firm
Hinanapan ni Senate Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito ng paliwanag ang pagbabago ng information technology (IT) system provider sa Land Transportation Office (LTO).
Sa pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, humingi ng kasagutan si Ejercito na mula sa STRADCOM Corp., ay hawak na ng Dermalog Identification System, isang German contractot na may hawak na ng IT system ng LTO.
Kinuwestiyon din ng senador ang pagbabayad ng LTO sa Dermalog ng P1.066 bilyon noong Oktubre sa kabila nang hindi pa naikakasa ang “Go Live” project.
Bukod pa dito, 34 porsiyento pa lamang ang IT project na Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) na dapat ay 41 porsiyento na.
Ang LTMS ay bahagi ng P3.19 billion Road IT Infrastructure project sa LTO na naibigay sa Dermalog at sa kanilang mga kasosyo sa bansa.
“Its really disturbing that there were really shortcomings on the part of Dermalog, they could not deliver but we are already paying,” diin ni Ejercito.
Nabanggit pa nito ang agad na pagbabayad ng LTO sa hindi pa natatanggap na “software.”
