Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Department of Trade and Industry ang nasa P4.2 milyong halaga ng vape products.
Ayon kay DTI Secretary Fred Pascual, nasa 13,784 na produkto ang kinumpiska muma sa non-compliant stores.
“As of June 1, our monitoring teams have already monitored 583 physical stores and 28,584 online stores, which totals to 29,167 firms monitored. The DTI, through our Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (FTEB) will continue to implement tighter monitoring of these firms. We aim to balance the interest of both businesses/manufacturers and also protect our youth from these harmful substances,” pahayag ni Pascual.
Sabi ni Pascual, mula sa 583 physical stores na na-monitor ng DTI, 229 ang compliant Republic Act No. 11900, habang 214 ang hindi sumusunod.
Samantala, sa 28,584 online stores, 175 ang compliant habang 28,409 ang non-compliant.
