Inalok ni incoming President Rodrigo Duterte kay Gina Lopez ng ABS-CBN ang paghawak sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Ito ang sinabi ni Duterte sa video na ipinadala niya sa mga reporters.
Nagkita sina Duterte at Lopez sa presidential guest house sa Davao City.
Matatandaang si Lopez ay isa sa mga masugid na taga-suporta ni Duterte noong panahon ng kampanya.
Ayon naman kay Lopez na isang kilalang environment advocate, seryoso niyang pag-iisipan at ikukunsidera ang pagtanggap sa alok ng sunod na pangulo.
Siya rin ay chairman ng ABS-CBN Foundation, at kilala sa mariing pagtutol sa mapaminsalang minahan.
Una nang inalok ni Duterte ang posisyong ito sa mga makakaliwa.
