Nadiskubre ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) at Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang P900 milyong halaga ng smuggled goods sa pagasalakay sa isang bodega sa Plaridel, Bulacan.
Ayon kay Customs Comm. Bienvenido Rubio, kabilang sa mga nasamsam ay mga sigarilyo, general merchandise, housewares, kitchenware, at iba pang pekeng produkto.
Binigyan ng kawanihan ng 15 araw ang may-ari ng warehouse na magsumite ng mga dokumento ng mga nasamsam sa gamit.
“The Bureau of Customs remains steadfast in its commitment in combating smuggling activities and protecting the interests of the general public. This operation demonstrates our determination to safeguard the integrity of our borders and ensure compliance with our customs laws, ” pahayag ni Rubio.
Hinihikayat ng BOC ang publiko na agad na isumbong sa kanilang hanay kung may mapapansin na mahina Hina lang aktibidad sa kanilang lugar.
