Parusa sa ilegal na pagsusuot ng AFP, PNP uniforms nais pabigatin ni Estrada
Naghain ng panukala si Senator Jinggoy Estrada na layong pabigatin ang mga parusa sa mga ilegal na gumagawa, nagbebenta at nagsusuot ng mga unipormeng pang-pulis at pang-sundalo.
Sa inihain niyang Senate Bill No. 2151, sinabi ni Estrada na napapanahon na para amyendahan ang RA 493 para mapigilan ang ilegal na paggamit ng mga uniporme sa AFP at PNP.
Puna ni Estrada napakagaan ng mga parusa at multa ngayon ng mga nagsusuot ng mga uniporme na pang-sundalo at pang-pulis na hindi naman sundalo o pulis.
Diin nito maraming pagkakataon na nagagamit ang mga PNP at AFP uniforms sa mga krimen at pang-aabuso.
“As the defense establishment and our uniformed personnel strive hard to cleanse their ranks of corrupt members, the illegal use of their uniform by people who do not belong to the organization and posing as legitimate members while doing unlawful activities, cause problems to the entire force and negatively affect the people’s trust and confidence on authorities,” aniya.
Gusto ni Estrada na ang multa ngayon na P2,000 – P5,000 at pagkakakulong na dalawa hanggang limang taon ay maging P10,000 hanggang P20,000 at kulong na lima hanggang 10 taon.
