Pope Francis: Saklolohan natin ang Typhoon Mocha victims
Umapila si Pope Francis sa buong mundo ng agarang tulong para sa mga biktima ng mapaminsalang Cyclone Mocha sa Myanmar at Bangladesh.
“I appeal to those responsible to facilitate the access of humanitarian aid,” apila ng Santo Papa matapos pangunahan ang pagdarasal ng Angelus sa Vatican at dagdag pa niya: “And I appeal to the sense of human solidarity and ecclesial solidarity to come to the aid of these brothers and sisters of ours.”
Labis na sinalanta ng bagyong Mocha ang dalawang nabanggit na bansa noong Mayo 14 at nagresulta ito sa malawakang pagbaha at pagbagsak ng mga istraktura.
Nanawagan na ang United Nations sa mga namumuno sa Myanmar na buksan ang bansa sa mga humanitarian organizations para makapagdala ng mga tulong sa mga biktima.
Napa-ulat na hanggang 800,o00 ang nangangailangan ng emergency food aid at iba pang tulong.
