Handa na ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at ang Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MMDRRMC) sa posibleng epekto ng Super Typhoon Mawar.
Pagtitiyak ni acting MMDA Chairman Don Artes na may koordinasyon na ang mga lokal na pamahalaan sa Kalakhang Maynila at mga kinauukulang ahensiya ng gobyerno.
“MMDRRMC members shall monitor round-the-clock weather updates and situations, while disaster response units will monitor potential flooding in flood prone areas and waterways,” ani Artes.
Binaggit nito na handa na ang kanilang Urban Search and Rescue Team, na sinanay water search and rescue operations.
Gayundin aniya ang kanilang mga gamit tulad ng life vests, wet suits, boats, at water rescue helmets, maging rescue cans, throw ropes, at life buoys.
Tukoy na rin aniya nila ang critical areas para sa mas mabilis na pagresponde.
“Teams are prepared, equipped, and trained. Communication lines are open with the LGUs so that teams will be immediately dispatched if needed,” sabi pa ng opisyal.
Nakahanda na rin ang kanilang rubber boats, aluminum boats, fiberglass boats, life vests, rescue vehicles, at military trucks.
