Bishop Ruperto Santos inilipat ni Pope Francis sa Antipolo
Itinalaga ni Pope Francis si Balanga Bishop. Ruperto Santos bilang bagong obispo ng Antipolo sa pagbibitiw sa puwesto ni Bishop Francisco de Leon.
Ipinanganak si Bishop Santos noong Oktubre 30, 1957 sa San Rafael, Bulacan at naag-aral sa mga kursong philosophy at theology sa San Carlos Seminary bago na-ordinahan na pari noong Setyembre 10, 1983 sa Archdiocese of Manila.
Matapos maordinahan, nagsilbi si Bishop Santos bilang deputy parish priest ng Immaculate Conception sa Metro Manila, chaplain ng Pasig Catholic College at parish priest sa Maybugna.
Ginawaran si Bishop Santos ng licentiate in history mula sa Pontifical Gregorian University sa Rome noong 1987 hanggang 1990.
Naging superior at rector ng Pontifical Filipino College sa Rome.l si Bishop Santos at naitalagang obispo ng Balanga, Bataan noong Abril 1, 2010.
Nagsisilbi rin siyang regional representative sa Permanent Council, chairman sa Commission for the Pontifical Filipino College, at vice-chairman ng Commission for the pastoral care of migrants and itinerant people.
