Bahagi lamang ng reorganisasyon sa Kamara ang pagkatatanggal kay Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo bilang senior deputy speaker.
Ayon kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., prerogative ni Speaker Martin Romualdez na baguhin ang organisasyon sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso.
“These things, if you’re in government long enough, you have seen many of this. n my time as congressman, I had two terms as congressman, nakatatlo yata kaming ganyan eh and this is is just part of reorganization. This is just part of reorganization,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
“The Speaker, it’s his prerogative as to how he feels the House should be reorganized,” pahayag ng Pangulo
Nangyayari talaga yan, I don’t think not any of us know what it all means, where the chips will fall after all of this reorganization,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Pinalitan si Arroyo ni Representative Aurelio Gonzales Jr.
“I think we should also be careful to not read too much into it,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
