Nagdesisyon ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) na ikasa na rin sa mga pampublikong sasakyan ang online registration renewal.
Sinabi ni LTO chief Jay Art Tugade ito ay para mas maging madali na rin sa mga PUV operators.
Paliwanag niya, naging matagumpay ang rollout ng online plain renewal registration sa mga pribadong sasakyan noong nakaraang Pebrero gamit ang Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) portal.
“This move is also aimed at eradicating corruption,” sabi pa ni Tugade, patukoy sa mga fixer.
Dagdag pa niya, nakikipag-ugnayan na sila sa Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) para sa interconnectivity dahil sa PUV registration ay kinakailangan ang certificate of public convenience (CPC).
“We already have initial meetings with the LTFRB for the interconnectivity in accessing the CPC so that the owners of the PUVs would be able to do it online,” ayon pa sa opisyal.
Dagdag pa niya kailangan na matiyak ng LTO at LTFRB na ang lahat ng mga bumibiyaheng pampublikong sasakyan ay ligtas.
