Ipamimigay na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development ang P500 ayuda para sa mga benepisaryo ng Targeted Cash Transfer (TCT) program.
Ayon kay DSWD spokesman Asec. Rommel Lopez, nasa mahigit 7 milyon ang mabibigyan ngayon ng ayuda.
Tulong aniya ito ng pamahalaan para makaagapay ang pamilyang Filipino sa pagtaas ng presyo ng mga bilihin. Nasa P7. 6 bilyong pondo ang inilaan ng Department of Budget and Management para sa naturang programa.
“The DSWD has set mechanisms to implement the TCT program in a timely manner. We hope that through this additional funding, we will be able to help our kababayans for their daily subsistence,” pahayag ni Lopez.
Una nang inatasan ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang DSWD na ipagpatuloy ang pagbibigay ng ayuda sa mga mahihirap na Filipino.
Nagpasalamat naman si Social Welfare Sec. Rex Gatchalian sa Pangulo at sa DBM sa pagbibigay ng pondo
