Parusang bitay sa mga gov’t agents na sasabit sa heinous crimes
Nangako si Senator Robinhood Padilla na maghahain ng resolusyon para mapatawan ng parusang kamatayan ang government law enforcement personnel na masasangkot sa mga karumaldumal na krimen.
Nais ni Padilla na mabitay ang mga alagad ng batas na masasangkot sa murder, illegal drug trade at agricultural smuggling.
Binanggit ito ng senador sa pagdinig ng Committee on Agriculture, Food and Agrarian Reform, na pinamumunuan ni Sen. Cynthia Villar.
Sinuportahan din ni Padilla ang mga paghihigpit para malabanan ang pagpupuslit sa bansa ng mga produktong-agrikultural, gayundin ang paglilitis sa smugglers at economic saboteurs.
“It is agonizing to think that criminals are from law enforcement. In smuggling, the livelihoods of ordinary people are affected – the livelihood of farmers and the industries of rice, sugar, onions and tobacco, to name a few.” ani Padilla.
Partikular niyang binanggit ang mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs na masasangkot sa smuggling activities.
