Mandatory mask wear hindi pa ibinabalik sa Metro Manila
Hindi pa ikinukunsidera ng mga lokal na opisyal sa Metro Manila na gawing “mandatory” muli ang pagsusuot ng mask sa kabila ng pagtaas ng bilang ng mga nahahawa ng COVID 19.
Ito ang sinabi ni San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, na siya rin namumuno sa Metro Manila Council (MMC).
Ibinahagi ni Zamora na sa huling pulong ng konseho, nagprisinta ang Department of Health (DOH) ng datos hinggil sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon ng COVID 19 sa Kalakhang Maynila.
Nananatili aniya ang rehiyon sa “low risk category” dahil mababa pa rin ang hospital utilization rate.
Ito naman aniya ay dahil sa napakataas na bilang ng mga bakunado ng COVID 19 vaccine sa Metro Manila.
“That is the positive effect of the vaccination. Overall, in Metro Manila, 127 percent of the target population was vaccinated. We are continually monitoring the situation and we are hoping that the number of cases will no longer increase,” ani Zamora.
Muli nanawagan siya sa publiko na istriktong sumunod sa umiiral na health protocols, magpabakuna, magpaturok ng booster at 2nd booster shots kung maaari naman na.
