Bumaba ng 7.5 porsiyento ang imbentaryo ng nakaimbak na bigas sa bansa mula noong Pebrero hanggang Marso ngayon taon, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Base sa inilabas na inventory report ng ahensiya, ,ay 1.41 milyong metriko tonelada ng bigas pagpasok ng Marso, na mababa ng 13.7 porsiyento sa nakalipas na isang taon.
“With reference to the previous month, rice stocks exhibited month-on-month reduction in the household sector by -7.5 percent, in the commercial sector by -8.7 percent, and in NFA depositories by -1.6 percent,” paliwanag ng PSA.
Bumaba ang stock ng bigas sa mga kabahayan ng 6.2 porsiyento o may katumabas na 811.52 metriko tonelada, samantalang 19.2 porsiyento naman ang ibinaba sa mga bigas sa commercial warehouses at sa mga bodega ng National Food Authority (NFA) ay bumaba ng 33.9 porsiyento.
Sa kabuuan, 57.6 porsiyento ng naka-imbak na bigas sa bansa ay nasa mga kabahayan.
