Patunay lamang na iniiwasan ni suspended Negros Oriental Representative Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves ang pamamagutan nito sa batas sa hindi pag-uwi sa Pilipinas.
Ayon kay Justice Sec. Crispin Remulla, indikasyon ito na guilty si Teves.

“Ibig sabihin, tinataguan niya ‘yung charges Flight is an indication of guilt,” pahayag ni Remulla.
Una rito, sinabi ni Remulla na uuwi na sa bansa si Teves, na sinabi naman na ito ay “fake news.”
Ang huling pinagtataguan ni Teves ay sa Timor Leste kung saan humirit pa ito ng political asylum, na tinanggihan naman.
