P15.1-B para sa pagtayo ng 5,000 classrooms nailabas na

Inilabas na ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang P15. 1 bilyong pondo para sa konstruksyon ng 5,000 classrooms. Ayon kay Budget Sec. Amenah Pangandaman, ipatatayo ang mga eskwelahan sa  1,194 lugar sa buong bansa. “The timely release of these funds, a joint request of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) and the Department of Education (DepEd), demonstrates that the PBBM administration does not hold back on investing in education. We need to build and repair classrooms to keep up with increasing enrollment in our public schools,” pahayag ni Pangandaman. Una nang sinabi ni Vice President at Education Sec. Sara Duterte na malaki ang kakulangan ng mga silid aralan sa bansa. “Our schoolchildren need to be in an environment conducive to learning and fun.  Kailangan nila ng ligtas, malinis at maaliwalas na mga silid-aralan para makapag-aral nang mabuti. Sila ang ating best investment,” pahayag ni Pangandaman. Sa mensahe naman ni Pangulong  Marcos Jr. sinabi nito na bibigyan niya ng prayoridad ang konstruksyon ng mga eskuwelahan. Gagamitin ang pondo sa construction, replacement at completion ng kindergarten, elementary at secondary school buildings at  technical vocational laboratories; installation o replacement ng disability access facilities; construction ng water at sanitation facilities; at site improvement. Samantala, gagastusin  ang P131,427,470.00 na pondo para sa  Engineering and Administrative Overhead (EAO) expenses.
