Magsisilbing host ang Diocese of Kalibo sa Aklan sa 126th plenary assembly ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) sa Hulyo 8 hanggang 10.
Ayon sa ulat ng CBCP News, sinabi ni Monsignor Bernardo Pantin, CBCP Secretary General, magsisilbing panahon ang plenary assembly ng pagdarasal, pagninilay at pag-aaral sa mga isyu na may kinalaman sa Simbahang Katolika at lipunan.
Magsasagawa rin ng annual retreat ang mga obispo mula Hulyo 4 hanggang 6.
Kabilang sa agenda sa plenary assembly ang paghalal sa mga bagong opisyal ng CBCP para sa termino ng Disyembre 2023 hanggang Nobyembre 2025.
Sa ngayon, si Bishop Pablo Virgilio David ng Diocese ng Kalookan ang nagsisilbing presidente ng CBCP.
