Oratio Imperata, inilabas kontra ‘culture of death’
Nagpalabas si Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle ng oratio imperata o obligatory prayer na iaalay sa mga papasok na bagong opisyal pamahalaan.
Nakasaad sa dasal na dapat irespeto ng mga ito ang buhay ng tao at iwasan ang “culture of death”. Sa inilabas na article ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’ o CBCP sa kanilang news website, dadasalin ang obligatory prayer sa lahat ng Simbahang Katoliko sa Metro Manila sa loob ng siyam na araw.
Magsisimula ang pagdadasal sa June 21 hanggang 29 bago umupo sa puwesto ang mga incoming government officials.
Nabanggit din sa nasabing dasal ang panawagan na magkaroon ng kababaang-loob, integridad, katapangan at “spirit of heroic sacrifice” ang mga susunod na mga lider ng bansa.
