17 lugar nakapagtala ng heat indexes na nasa ‘danger level’

Ngayon maghapon, 17 lugar sa bansa ang nakaras ng heat indexes sa “danger level,” ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Ang naitalang pinakamataas ngayon araw ay 45 degrees Celsius (°C) at ito ay sa Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.

Nasa “danger level” din ang naramdaman ng katawan na init sa Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte (44°C); Clark Airport, Pampanga (43°C); Dagupan City, Pangasinan (43°C); Iba, Zambales (43°C); San Jose, Occidental Mindoro (43°C).

Gayundin sa Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas (42°C); Aparri, Cagayan (42°C); Butuan City, Agusan del Norte (42°C); Cotabato City, Maguindanao (42°C); Dauis, Bohol (42°C); Legazpi City, Albay (42°C); Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Pasay City (42°C); Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (42°C); Roxas City, Capiz (42°C); Sangley Point, Cavite (42°C); at Tacloban City, Leyte (42°C).

Ngayon taon, nananatiling ang naitalang   49℃ noong Abril 16 sa Guiuan, Eastern Samar ang pinakamataas.

Ang heat indez mula 42°C hanggang  51°C ay nasa “danger level” at ito ay maaring magdulot ng heat cramps at heat exhaustion, na posibleng humantong sa heat stroke kung hindi magpapahinga at sisilong sa lilim o malamig na lugar.
