Pangulong Marcos Jr., pinasusuportahan ang “Nano businesses” sa kapwa ASEAN leaders
Labuan Bajo, Indonesia – Pinasusuportahan ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa mga kapwa lider na kasapi ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations ang “Nano businesses.”
Sa intervention ng Pangulo sa ASEAN Leaders’ Interface with Representatives of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), sinabi nito na ang Nano businesses ay ang mga maliliit na negosyante na hindi pinapansin sa rehiyon.
“These Nano businesses are also described as ‘solopreneurs’ and they are home-based businesses, among whom are make-up artists, vulcanizers, independent dispatch riders, vendors, repairers, and market women and men in the various open markets,” pahayag niya.
“They play a very important but often unrecognized role all across our countries. But by classification, they often do not meet the MSME (micro, small and medium enterprise) micro-business criteria, which is the category for the smallest businesses. They are largely unaccounted for, but these informal business settings constitute a large portion of all our economies,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Sabi ng Pangulo, hindi dapat na kaligtaan ang Nano businesses dahil kasing halaga rin ang mga ito sa micro, small, o midsize businesses.
Sinuportahan naman ni ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Chair Mohammad Arsjad Rasjid Prabu Mangkuningrat ang panawagan ng Pangulo.
Si Mangkuningrat rin ang tumatayong chairman ng Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN).
Napanatili ng ASEAN ang ikalimang puwesto bilang may pinakamalaking ekonomiya sa bupng mundo kung saan pumalo sa US$3.3 trillion ang combined gross domestic product (GDP) sa 10 ASEAN member states noong 2021.
