Sa loob ng limang araw ay dapat nakaalis na ng Timor Leste si suspended Negros Oriental Representative Arnoilfo “Arnie” Teves Jr.
Kasunod ito nang pagtanggi ng gobyerno ng Timor Leste sa aplikasyon paea sa “political asylum” na isinumite ng mambabatas.
Inanunsiyo ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang desisyon ng Timor Leste.
Una nang ipinaalam ni Justice Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla sa DFA na nasa Dili, Timor Leste si Teves at naghain ng aplikasyon para sa “protection visa with the intent of asylum.”
“Today, the Ministry of Interior of Timor-Leste confirmed that Representative Teves’ application for political asylum has been denied. In accordance with the decision of the Timor-Leste Government, Representative Teves has been granted a period of five (5) days to depart Timor-Leste,” ayon sa DFA.
Sinabi din ng kagawaran na maaring iapila pa ni Teves ang desisyon.
