Inireklamong de-lata sa food packs ipapasuri ng DSWD sa FDA
Magpapadala sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng samples ng canned tuna na inireklamo ng mga nakatanggap ng relief packs.
Ayon kay Asec. Romel Lopez ipapasuri nila ang canned tuna para malaman kung ligtas itong kainin ng mga nakakatanggap ng kanilang family food packs.
Nabatid na maraming benipesaryo ang inireklamo ang mabahong amoy ng laman ng naturang de-lata.
“The DSWD will wait for the results of the FDA tests as this will determine objectively and scientifically whether the questioned canned tuna flakes are really safe for the consumption of the beneficiaries or not,” ani Lopez.
Paliwanag niya hanggang walang resulta mula sa FDA hindi nila masasabi kung ang reklamo ay dahil lamang sa panlasa ng mga benipesaryo o kontaminado talaga ang laman ng de-lata.
Bumuo na ng fact-finding committee si Social Welfare Sec. Rex Gatchalian para maberipika ang ulat ng kanilang tanggapan sa Mimaropa Region ukol sa mga reklamo ng mga benipesaryo.
