USD 200 milyong investment itatayo ng semoconductor company sa Pilipinas

WASHINGTON, D. C. – Magdadagdag ng USD 200 million investment ang isang semiconductor company sa Pilipinas.
Ito ay matapos ang ginawang pakikipagpulong ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa mga opisyal ng Analog Devices, Inc.’s (ADI) Research and Development sa pangunguna ni Mr. John Hassett, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer sa Blair House sa Washington.
Nabatid na magtatayo ang ADI ng bagong R&D facility na Ida dagdag sa LEED certified production facility sa Gateway Business Park sa Cavite.
Nagpasalamat ang Pangulo sa ADI dahil sa patuloy na tiwala at paglalagak ng puhunan sa bansa.
“So rather than the more basic stuff that may have been done 15, 20 years ago, we have continued to increase the level of technology that’s been introduced since the planning,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
“So today you hear about 300 mm wafers, 12-inch wafers, in there. Well, those wafers now come down and we are setting up a 300-mm Center of Excellence in Cavite, which is doing all of the wafer programs and associated with our products.”
Ang ADI ay isang global semiconductor leader na gumagamit ng Intelligent Edge. Itinatag ito noong 1965.
Ito ay pinaghalong analog, digital, at software technologies na nagbibigay solusyon sa digitized factories, mobility at digital healthcare, combat climate change at iba pa.
As of 2022, nasa 5,252 ang empleyado ng ADI na may USD 394.39 million total na halaga na exports.
