P800-M medical BPO itatayo sa Pilipinas, isa pang BPO ilalagay ng US firm
WASHINGTON, D.C-Nasa P800 milyong pondo ang ilalagak ng American health service provider na Optum para sa itatayong medical business process outsourcing (BPO) sa Pilipinas.
Ito ang naging desisyon ng Optum matapos ang pakikipagpulong kay Pangulong Marcos Jr. at sa delegasyon nito sa Washington.
Ayon kay John Prince, president at COO ng Optum, nasa 1,500 na trabaho ang inaasahang malilikha sa bagong negosyo.
“I’m a really big believer that great things happen to great teams and we have a great team in the Philippines,” pahayag ni Prince.
Noong Marso lamang, nakipagpulong ang Optum sa Board of Investments (BOI) para talakayin ang naturang proyekto na balak na itayo sa bahagi ng Davao.
Nabatid na mula noong 2011, nakapagpondo na ang Optum ng P5.1 bilyong capital expenditure para sa apat na operating sites sa Taguig, Muntinlupa, Quezon City, at Cebu City.
Samantala, isa pang business process outsourcing (BPO) company ang maglalagak ng negosyo sa Pilipinas.
Matapos makipagpulong kay Pangulong Marcos Jr., sinabi nina Atento President Fili Ledezma Soto at Chief Delivery Officer Josh Ashby, itatayo ang BPO sa Iloilo Business Park sa Madurriao Iloilo.
Naniniwala si Pangulong Marcos na magiging matagumpay ang negosyong ito dahil established na ang ganitong mga trabaho sa Pilipinas.
Ang Atento ay customer relationship management at business process outsourcing company na nagooperate sa Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Spain, Uruguay at US.
