Tiniyak ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na tuloy ang pagsasaayos airport operations sa Metro Manila.
Ito ay para masiguro na ligtas at maayos ang pagbiyahe ng mga pasahero.
Sa pulong ni Pangulong Marcos sa Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) Tourism Sector Group, batid nito ang mga problema na kinakaharap ng mga major airports sa bansa gaya ng kakulangan ng espasyo at teknolohiya para mabilis na maprocess ang travel documents.
“We should put a team specifically to study the technology para hindi na… to study all these proposals to see what it will take for us to be able to… The technology exists so it’s just a question of us adopting,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
“We will keep… please keep monitoring and see how far we’ll get, where we’re falling behind, where we’re doing right,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Binubuo ang PSAC ng business leaders at industry experts na nagbibigay technical advice sa Pangulo para matiyak na makakamit ang mga programa nito sa anim na key sectors gaya ng agriculture; digital infrastructure; healthcare; infrastructure; jobs generation; at tourismo.
Bilang tugon sa rekomendasyon ng PSAC, gumawa na ng website ang Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) para sa accredited taxis upang maiwasan na mabiktima ang mga pasahero sa mga colorum na taxi.
