Kasabay ng paggunita sa bansa ng Araw ng Paggawa, Mayo 1, libo-libong trabaho ang iaalok ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Paunang 73,779 trabaho ang iaalok ng 808 kompaniya sa 42 job fairs sa job fairs sa ibat-ibang bahagi ng bansa.
Kabilang dito ang sa business process outsourcing (BPO), manufacturing, financial, insurance, manpower services at sales and marketing.
Maraming bakante para sa customer service representatives, production workers/operators, financial consultants, service crew, at sales agents o sales clerks.
Inaasahan, ayon sa DOLE, na madagdagan pa ang bilang ng iaalok na mga trabaho habang papalapit ang Labor Day.
Nabatid na ang main job fair ay sa SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Complex sa Pasay City, kung saan higit 12,000 trabaho ang iaalok ng 125 employers sa Abril 30.
Ang tema ng Araw ng Paggawa ngayon taon ay “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot-Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho Para sa Manggagawang Pilipino.”
