Speaker Romualdez nailatag na ang agenda ng US trip ni PBBM Jr.

Dalawang linggo na inasikaso ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang mga agenda ng biyahe ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa US sa susunod na linggo.
Nakipag-usap si Romualdez sa mga mambabatas ng Amerika at natalakay nila ang defense and security cooperation at economic partnerships ng dalawang bansa.
“I think the conditions are right for the meeting between President Bongbong Marcos and President Joe Biden. We have high hopes for the exchange of ideas between the two leaders and its outcome,” sabi ni Romualdez.
Nasa US pa rin si Romualdez ang pina-plantsa ang mga naunang napag-usap sa pakikipagpulong niya kay US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy at iba pang mambabatas ng naturang bansa.
Nakausap din niya at ng kanyang delegasyon sina US House Majority Leader Steve Scalise at Reps. Young Kim, Mike Rogers, Darell Issa, Ami Bera at Chris Stewart.
Isinalarawan niya na makasaysayan at nagbunga ng maganda ang kanyang mga pakikipag-pulong sa US.
“Relations between our two countries remain strong. Our security alliance under the 1951 Mutual Defense Treaty is ironclad. Our economic partnership is robust. And the friendship between our two peoples is solid,” dugtong pa ni Romualdez.
