Nakahanda ang Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines na makipagtulungan sa pamahalaan para sa pagpapauwi sa mga Filipino na naiipit sa gulo sa Sudan.
Ayon kay Bishop Ruperto Santos, chairman ng CBCP Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (ECMI), bukas ang kanilang hanay na ipagamit ang lahat ng resources.
“Our Church extends our collaboration and assistance for their needs,” pahayag ni Bishop Santos.
“There are programs and plans in the dioceses to give hope, heal, and help our Filipinos that have been repatriated,” dagdag ng Obispo.
Una nang sinabi ng Department of Foreign Affairs na daan-daang Filipino na ang gustong lumikas mula sa Sudan.
