Bishop Julius Tonel, itinalagang Arsobispo ng Archdiocese ng Zamboanga

Itinalaga ni Pope Francis Ipil Bishop Julius Tonel bilang bagong Arsobispo ng Archdiocese of Zamboanga.
Ito ang inanunsyo ng Vatican.
Ayon sa ulat ng CBCP News, sinabi ni Archbishop-elect Tonel na pakikinggan niya ang boses ng mga parokyano ng Zamboanga.
Hindi makapaniwala si Archbishop-elect Tonel sa bagong ministry.
Bilang bagong Arobispo, sinabi nito na mananatiling hamon sa kanya na ilapit ang Gospel sa taong bayan.
“So I will do a lot of listening,” pahayag ni Archbishop-elect Tonel.
“I have to work with all of these and everything that I will do has to be rooted in the Gospel,” dagdag ng bagong Arsobispo.
Papalitan ni Archbishop-elect Tonel si Archbishop Romulo de la Cruz na pumanaw noong 2021.
