3-year validity ng rehistro sa mga bagong motorsiklo
Inanunsiyo ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) na ngayon ang bisa ng rehistro ng mga bagong motorsiklo ay hanggang tatlong taon.
Sinabi ni LTO Chief Jay Tugade maari din sakupin nito ang mga motorsiklo na may “engine displacements” na 200cc pababa.
“Per Memorandum Circular No. JMT-2023-2395 issued by LTO Chief Jay Art Tugade, the initial registration of brand new motorcycles even those with engine displacement of 200cc and below shall be valid for three years,” ayon sa pahayag ng ahensiya.
Sa ngayon, tanging ang mga motorsiklo na may engine dispalcement na 201cc pataas ang sakop ng ” three-year validity” ng unang rehistro.
“It is understood that the MVUC to be collected during the initial registration shall likewise be adjusted to cover the corresponding registration validity period,” base sa naturang memorandum.
Ayon pa kay Tugade wala silang nakikitang problema sa “three-year validity period” dahil ipinapalagay na bago ang lahat ng mga motorsiklo na unang beses na ipaparehistro.
“Kami sa LTO ay naniniwalang ang hakbang na ito’y makakatulong sa maraming drayber na nagpapa-rehistro ng bagong motorsiklo para magamit sa kanilang hanapbuhay o trabaho,” dagdag pa nito.
Ngayon taon, tinataya na dalawang milyong bagong motorsikllo na may engine displacement na 200cc pababa ang irerehistro.
