Ipinaalala ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) na mahigpit pa rin ipinatutupad ang pagsusuot ng face mask sa mga pasahero ng Light Rail Transit (LRT), Metro Rail Transit (MRT), an Philippine National Railways (PNR).
Ang palaala ay bunsod na rin ng tumataas na bilang ng mga bagong kaso ng COVID 19.
Nabatid na ipinatutupad pa rin ang “mandatory face mask use” sa mga istasyon ng LRT at MRT, samantalang “voluntary” naman sa mga istasyon ng PNR dahil “open space” naman ang mga ito.
Ayon kay Transportation Assistant Secretary for Railways Jorjette Aquino nananatili ang banta ng COVID 19 lalo na sa “enclosed places” gaya ng LRT at MRT stations.
Panawagan niya sa kanilang mga pasahero na patuloy ang lubos na pag-iingat at magpabakuna at magpaturok na ng booster shot laban sa nakakamatay na sakit.
