Hindi pagpapa-rehistro ng maraming SIM, “major concern” – officials
Suportado nina National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Arsenio Balisacan at Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual ang panawagan na palawigin pa ang deadline ng SIM card resgitration sa bansa na nakatandang matapos sa Abril 26.
Sa pulong balitaan sa Malakanyang, sinabi nina Balisacan at Pascual na ito ay para tuluyang maitulak ang digitalization sa mga transaksyon sa gobyerno at iba pang tanggapan.
Hindi maikakaila ayon sa dalawang kalihim na maraming transaksyon na ang ginagawa sa pamamagitan ng cellphone.
Nasa 95 milyon SIM card ang hindi pa naka-rehistro.
“I think it’s a major concern especially based on what I commented on earlier. So, that has to be evaluated, you know by the telcos and by the concerned agencies in charge of DICT,” pahayag ni Pascual.
