Gobyerno may P1.8-B budget para sa elektripikasyon

Naglaan ang administrasyong-Marcos Jr. ng P1.89 bilyong pondo para sa electrification programs ng National Electrification Administration (NEA).

Ayon kay Budget Sec. Amenah Pangandaman, saklaw ng pondo ang pagpapailaw sa mga barangay at sitio, Electric Cooperatives Emergency and Resiliency, at paglalagay ng mga solar panels sa mga pampublikong gusali.

“When we say we want to uplift the lives of the Filipino people, we mean all Filipinos, even those in the farthest barangays or sitios. And we cannot achieve socio-economic improvement in these areas if their communities remain unelectrified. Kaya siniguro po natin na may pondo ang mga programa na magpapa-ilaw lalo na sa mga malalayong lugar,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.

Nabatid na ang Barangay/Sitio Electrification Project ang makakukuha nng malaking parte ng budget na mayroong P1.68 bilyon ngayong taon at target nito na magkaroon ng kuryente sa 1,140 sitio.

“This program of the Energy Department will also support President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s goal to ensure that energy in the country is affordable, sustainable, secure, and sufficient, especially during calamities and emergencies,” sabi pa ng kalihim.
