Gatchalian binatikos ang gobyerno sa K-12 graduates hiring policy
Nadiskubre ni Senator Win Gatchalian na mismong ang gobyerno ang tila hindi tumutupad sa mga naipangako sa K-12 Program dahil sa polisiya sa pagkuha ng senior high school graduates.
Sa pagdinig sa Batang Magaling Act (SB 2022), nalaman ni Gatchalian ang Memorandum Circular No. 12 s. 2019 ng Civil Service Commission (CSC), na hindi nagbibigay ng pagkakaiba sa mga nagtapos sa K-12 program at sa lumang 10-year basic education, na pumapasok sa mga ahensiya at korporasyon ng gobyerno.
“This is an unfair practice being done by the government. Ipinangako natin noon na ang K to 12 ay magbibigay ng trabaho sa ating senior high school graduates pero gobyerno mismo ang hindi nagbibigay sa kanila ng oportunidad. We’re lumping them together with graduates of the ten-year high school system. Again, there’s no added value for our senior high school students in the eyes of the government,” himutok ng senador.
Dagdag pa niya; “For example, I’m a senior high school student but when I apply in government, I’m actually equated to a graduate of the ten-year high school system. There’s no increase in value for me so why would I add two more years if I’m equated to a graduate of ten years of high school.”
Bunga nito, hiniling ni Gatchalian sa CSC ang pagsusumite ng “timetable” sa pagharap ng mga hamon sa pagkuha ng gobyerno ng senior high school graduates.
Pagtitiyak naman ng CSC, kasalukuyang nirerebisa na ang Omnibus Rules on Appointments para sa konsiderasyon ng senior high school graduates na nais nang mag-trabaho sa gobyerno.
