Masidhi ang kagustuhan ng Department of Health na maging malaria-free na ang Pilipinas pagsapit ng 2030.
Ginanap kahapon ang malaria-free regional convention para mapabilis ang mga ginagawang hakbang at maabot agad ang nais na malaria-free status sa buong bansa.
Sinabi ni Health officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire na pursigido ang kagawaran na mawakasan ang lokal na hawaan ng malaria sa pagtutulungan ng pambansang gobyerno, mga lokal na pamahalaan, mga pribadong institusyon at non-government organizations (NGOs).
“We reiterate our commitment to achieving country-wide malaria-free status by 2030. The goal is within our reach, but we must continue our work to fully achieve this,” ani Vergeire.
Pagsisiguro pa ng opisyal na handa ang DOH na magbigay tulong sa lahat para matiyak na hindi na makakabalik ang naturang sakit.
