Sa Laging Handa Public Briefing, sinabi ni Department of Social Welfare and Development spokesman Assistant Secretary Rommel Lopez, katumbas ito ng 37,871 na pamilya ang apektado ng oil spill sa Calabarzon, Mimaropa, at Western Visayas.
Ayon kay Lopez, naglabas na ang DSWD ng P217 milyong financial assistance.
Namigay na rin aniya ang DSWD ng food packs at mga non-food items.
Nasa P58.5 milyon na rin ang naipamahagi sa ilalim ng cash-for-work program.
