Nilagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang isang administrative order na bubuo sa special task force para sa pagpapanatili sa peace and order sa Negros Island.
Binuo ng Pangulo ang Task Force Degamo matapos ang pagpalasng kay Negros Oriental Roel Degamo at walong iba pa.
Base sa Administrative Order No. 6 na nilagdaan noong Abril 3, inaatasan ang task force na pigilan ang paglaganap ng karahasan sa lugar at panatilihin ang peace and order sa Negros Island.
Pinatitiyak din ng AO na mapangangalagaan ang civil at political rights ng mga residente.
Magsisilbing chairman ng Task Force Degamo ang kalihim ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at magsisilbing co-chairman ang mga kalihim ng Department of Justice (DOJ) at Department of National Defense (DND).
Kasama sa task force commanders ang hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), at director ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Inaatasan naman ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na magbigay ng emergency relief assistance sa pamilya ng biktima habang ang Department of Health (DOH) ay inaatasan na magbigay ng psychological rehabilitation sa mga apektadong indibidwal.
Inaatasan din ang Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (PAFV) na makipag-ugnayan sa task force.
