Suhestiyon ng ACT sa pagkuha ng 30,000 teachers kinuwestiyon ng DepEd
Duda ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa tunay na motibo ng pahayag ng Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) sa pagkuha ng karagdagang 30,000 public teachers at paglalaan ng P100 bilyon kada taon para sa pagpapatayo ng mga silid-paaralan.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ni Vice President at Education Sec. Sara Duterte sinabi nito na ang pahayag ng ACT ay pangontra lamang sa inilalatag na solusyon ng administrasyon sa mga isyu sa sektor ng edukasyon.
“The call could not be coming from a place of genuine concern for the future of our learners and the welfare of our teachers. Instead, it is a call motivated by the group’s fascination for demands and goals that are unrealistic and impossible — placing the government in a precarious situation that will ultimately end in failure,” ani Duterte.
Kinuwestiyon ni Duterte ang “timing” ng pahayag dahil isinabay ito sa panggugulo ng New People’s Army sa anim na bayan sa Masbate na naka-apekto sa 55,199 estudyante at 2,815
school personnel.
Puna nito, nananahimik ang ACT sa sitwasyon sa Masbate at sa halip ay naglabas ng pahayag na hindi kapani-paniwala na ang layon ay malihis ang atensyon ng publiko sa mga ginagawa ng mga rebelde.
Ayon pa kay Duterte, kukuha ang kagawaran ng karagdagang “teaching and non-teaching personnel” ngayon taon.
