Nakokolektang langis mula sa lumubog na water tanker patuloy sa pagdami

Umabot na sa 9,463 litro ng oily water mixture at 115 sako ng oil-contaminated materials ang nakolekta ng Philippine Coast Guard sa offshore oil spill response operations mula sa lumubog na MT Princess Empress sa Oriental Mindoro.

Ayon sa PCG, nasa 137 sako ng oil-contaminated materials ang nakolekta naman mula sa shoreline response.

Sa kabuaan, nasa 3,514.5 sako at 22 drums ng waste na ang nakolekta ng PCG mula Marso 1 hanggang 26 sa 13 apektado na barangay sa Naujan, Bulalacao, at Pola, Oriental Mindoro, mula Marso 1 hanggang 26.

Lumubog ang barko noong Pebrero 28 at ito ay sinasabing may kargang 900,000 litro ng industrial oil.
